Yesterday a coworker stopped by my desk to tell me some amazing news…the weather forecast predicted today’s temperatures would reach the high 70’s with nary a rain cloud in the sky! I only had one word for her: SHORTS. (This one word was said with such enthusiasm, it’s a shame there weren’t more witnesses.)

There is a chance it has occasionally been mentioned on this site how unseasonable the weather has been this spring read: cold and windy. This has meant that I am ill-prepared for the sunshine as evidenced by my pasty gams. But I will not be deterred, especially considering the miserably rainy week we’ve had. The sun is out and so are my legs.

Darlings- I’m sorry if I continue to harp on about the weather but it’s all a girl can focus on when she has a closet full of lovely warm-weather items itching to be seen and yet the wind outside keeps howling for tights. Top on the list of garments I would like to get back into are shorts- they’re cute, breezy and can be easily dressed up.

Such are their attributes that I couldn’t be kept out of them even in the cold months. Here we have a little flashback to February in a velvet pair topped with a romantic blouse complete with a surprise of lace on the back- as I said, easy to dress up!!
